Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. Chalet Janluke is only offered for holiday rental, subject to written confirmation.
  2. To reserve the Chalet Janluke please email us with your preferred dates. In the event that chalet is available we will require a  non-refundable deposit of 25% of the fee, payable within one week of email request. Following the recipe of the deposit, Chalet Janluke will send an e-mail confirmation. This is the formal acceptance of the booking.
  3. The balance of the rent is payable 4 weeks before the start of the rental period. Chalet Janluke will request payment by issuing an e-mail. If the balance payment is not received one week after the due date, Chalet Janluke reserves the right to cancel the reservation. The Client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless Chalet Janluke is able to re-let the Property. In this event, clause 4 (below) of these conditions will apply. Reservations made within 4 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of the booking.
  4. In the event of a cancellation, refunds of amounts paid (not including the non-refundable deposit) will be made if Chalet Janluke is able to re-let the Property, and any reasonable expenses or losses incurred in so doing will be deducted from the refunded amount. The Client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability etc., since these are not covered by Chalet Janluke.
  5. The rental period shall commence at 4pm on the first day and finish at 10am on the last day. Chalet Janluke shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the client shall not be entitled to remain in the accommodation after the time stated.
  6. The maximum number to reside in the Property must not exceed the number stated on our website unless Chalet Janluke has given written permission.
  7. The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the Property.
  8. The Client agrees not to act in a way which would cause disturbance to those resident in neighbouring properties.
  9. The chalet house keeping will be carried out each day with the exception of the day off, between the hours of 9-10. All rooms must be vacated during this time.
  10. During fully catered weeks the kitchen is not for guest use, unless agreed in writing prior to the holiday.
  11. The Client shall report to Chalet Janluke without delay any defects in the Property or breakdown in the equipment, machinery, or appliances in the Property or garden, and arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.
  12. Chalet Janluke shall not be liable to the Client:
    • for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor in respect of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the Property or garden.
    • for any loss, damage, or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of Chalet Janluke.
    • for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the Property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in such an event, Chalet Janluke shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
  13. Under no circumstances shall Chalet Janluke's liability to the Client exceed the amount paid by the Client for the rental period.
  14. In the event that guests have cause for complaint, we request that these must be brought to the immediately attention of our chalet manager so that we will have the opportunity to correct the matter during the holiday. If you fail to do so you deprive us of the chance to investigate your complaint and to do our best to rectify it. If we are unable to resolve matters whilst you are on holiday and you remain dissatisfied you must write to us within 28 days of your return with full details.
